Party Number 2 of 2

After we left Bailee's party we drove to Spartanburg for our 2nd party of the day. My cousin, Alicia's, little boy was turning 1!! It's so hard to believe that a year has already gone by. It just seems like yesterday that Brad and Alicia were welcoming Brock into this world. He arrived 6 1/2 weeks early and was only 3 lbs. 14 oz. But to look at him now, you would never know he was such a tiny squirt. He is a very healthy and happy boy!

We had a great time seeing family and celebrating a very special day. Thanks for inviting us!

Happy Birthday Brock!

Party Number 1 of 2

Our first birthday party today was for Bailee who was turning 2!! Bailee had an Elmo party and she had lots of things for all her friends to do. They had face painting where MacKenzie had her's painted with Abby Cadabby, they colored, decorated cookies, and of course ate cake. We had a great time. Thanks for inviting us!

Happy Birthday Bailee!

MacKenzie's Dance Recital Costume

MacKenzie's dance recital isn't until May, but we got the costume this week and she couldn't wait to come home and try it on. She wanted to show it off to everyone and she loved modeling for the camera. The pictures did turn out cute, so I had to share.

Kimberly's Birthday Beach Bash!

We spent a long weekend with our friends, Chris and Kimberly, at Edisto. We celebrated Kimberly's birthday, and had a great, relaxing and FUN adult weekend! We laughed so much that we cried! And we shared many memories that will last forever.

Mine and Kimberly's goal for the weekend was to make fresh crab dip. The last time they were there, they caught a ton of crab, so we just knew that we would, too. Well...that didn't quite happen. No matter how many times we tried, and no matter what the method (and there were many techniques we tried)...we didn't catch a dang thing! Oh well, it was fun and worth it just for the stories!!

We did on the other hand, have s'mores that we made by the outside firepit. The guys also did a great job grilling all weekend...yum, yum. We went for a long bike ride, where we made fun of Chris the whole time for his girly-man bike. We also strolled along the beach where we found lots of shells, and Chris and Kimber even found a sand dollar!

But, the best memories of all had to be the games we played. We found a new game called, Charoodles. It's charades with props! Oh my...that got interesting...as you can see from some of the pictures...and these are the PG rated pics that I posted!! There were some PG-13 (and maybe even R) rated ones! I highly recommend this game for any game night that anyone decides to have. (And, if you do play, we want to come!!) We also played Guitar Hero, bowling, and tennis on the Wii. Jarrod said that he saw a side of Kimberly that he had never seen before. The sweet, innocent Kimberly, has a very competitive side to her!

As we were leaving Edisto we finally found the infamous tree that no one knows who decorates it for each holiday! Whew...so glad we found that thing...our weekend wouldn't have been complete without it!

Thanks Chris and Kimberly for a fabulous weekend!! Let's do it again...soon!

Fun with a Fort

Jarrod built a fort for the kids this weekend. They had a blast crawling in and out and hiding from each other. It reminded me of when my dad used to make forts for me and my sister and how much fun we used to have. Even with all the new innovative toys and technology, it's cool to see my kids still wanting to play with the same, old-fashioned things that we used to play with.

"R" is for rainbow...

Zing, Zang, Zoom

We took MacKenzie and Mason to the circus yesterday at the Bilo Center. It was so much fun! Jarrod had won a Ticketmaster gift card from work so we decided to "splurge" on circus tickets and got GREAT seats! We were only 5 rows back. It was a great show and it kept the kids entertained for a full 2 hours!! We loved everything about it, but of course, our favorite thing was the Tigers!! Here are a few pictures from our day of fun.
