...and walkie-talkie, and watch, and window. Because of computer issues I don't have any pictures of MacKenzie's homework last week...oh well! This week's homework is "X"...wish mommy and daddy luck on finding pictures that start with "x"!!

Yay, Jarrod!
Jarrod has become quite lucky (or good) these last few weeks at work. They have had quite a few competitions and/or drawings and he's done very well! He won a 31" flat screen HDTV, a Best Buy gift card, a Visa gift card and an American Express gift card!! Woo Hoo! Good job honey!

Technology is GREAT....
...when it WORKS! I've been without a computer for almost a week now. Our laptop CRASHED! Yes, crashed! Luckily I had saved all my pictures onto CDs and to our external hard drive just last weekend. But I haven't been able to blog...crisis, I know! So, I'm taking my work laptop home tonight to catch up on the blogging. I don't know if I'll get pictures up, but something is better than nothing! I hope to have my computer back tomorrow! Luckily, Jarrod works with some great computer geeks (ha, JK!) who have been gracious enough to fix it!

Busy But Relaxing Weekend!
This is the first weekend in a LONG time that we haven't had anything we HAD to do. It was also a great weekend to play outside and just have fun...and that's exactly what we did. MacKenzie had a little friend from school come and play on Saturday. They played outside, inside, and watched movies while the moms enjoyed some nice adult conversation. The girls even played with Mason which was nice! On Sunday we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Both Mason and MacKenzie planted their own pot of flowers. We then went to Toys R Us and got new bike helmets so that we could take bike rides. That kicked my butt though...you see MacKenzie and Mason get to relax and chill while Mommmy and Daddy tote them behind them on their bikes. We also have an extreme case of March Madness at our house, so we bought the kids a basketball goal which they have enjoyed the majority of the afternoon. So as you can see we were busy, just having fun and enjoying SPRING!

"V" is for volcano...
...and violet and violin. So this week's letter was obviously "v", but that was a hard letter to find in a magazine! Luckily, Jarrod has all the artistic ability in the family, so he was able to draw MacKenzie's homework. She still wrote her letters though. Oh yeah, and Mason decided he needed to do "homework", too, so here's a funny picture of him.

Emily's shower
Tonight I went to a bridal shower for my friend and co-worker, Emily. We had a good time hanging out with a fun group of ladies! Emily was very cute, too!

Embarrassing Things Your Children Do...
Last week MacKenzie said something that totally embarrassed me. Then I started thinking about all the different times I've been embarrassed by my children (already). Although it wasn't funny at the time, we can all laugh about those moments now. And, I know that there will be MANY more embarrassing moments to come. Here are my top 3 most embarrassing moments because of my children. What are yours?
#3 - Mason understands all of his "bodily functions" now, so whenever he has gas he is sure to let EVERYONE know. (Just like a man!) It never fails that when we're in a store or a restuarant that he yells out "Mommy I pooted" or "Mommy I burped" (which is 2 syllables, pronounced "burp-ed"). While people laugh I am completely mortified by the whole thing!
#2 - (This is the embarrassing moment from last week). We had really nice weather last week. So while walking into daycare one day, I told MacKenzie that "I bet you will get to play outside today". Well, when I picked her up that afternoon, her teacher proceeded to tell me that earlier that day MacKenzie looked at her teachers with her hands on her hips and said "My mama said we BETTER go outside today!" I thought I would die!
And the #1 most embarrassing moment so far...Last year I had to go the ENT because of a severe ear infection. On the day of my appointment MacKenzie had gotten sick so she went with me. The doctor came in a started talking to me about what he needed to do, etc, etc. The entire time while he was talking MacKenzie was going through my purse looking for "stick" which is her word for lipstick or chapstick. I wasn't paying her any attention trying to concentrate on what the doctor was saying. She had started hitting me with something on the arm, saying over and over again "Mommy, stick...Mommy, stick". I finally looked down and she's hitting me with a tampon...I really wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Both the doctor and nurse had been watching the whole thing and when I finally realized what she was doing they both started dying laughing. The nurse even had to leave the room! I have no idea what else the doctor said or did...but I didn't go back for my follow-up appointment!
I hope other people have been embarrassed by their children at some point. And if they haven't yet...they will!!!

Tinkerbell and Peter Pan!
I don't know what possessed my children to decide they wanted to pull out their Halloween outfits from 2 Halloween's ago, but they did. They also did this while watching "Dancing with the Stars." They both LOVE watching it and dancing, too. So this was the scene at our house on Monday night...

"U" is for umbrella...
...and underwater and United States of America. Somehow, I managed to forget "T" homework. I can't find any pictures so I don't know if I forgot to take any or if I deleted them off the camera somehow. Oh well...

Another Birthday Bash Weekend
We had two more birthday parties this weekend. One of MacKenzie's classmates had her party at Electric City Gymnastics and my friend Carrie's little boy, Caleb, has his 1st birthday. I'm mad because I forgot my camera for Caleb's party, but you can check out Carrie's blog to see pictures that I'm sure she'll post soon.

Toadily Fun Friday
Friday night we met the O'Neals (Brooke, Patrick, and Bailee) and the Trotters (Kimberly and Nathan - Chris was at home sick) for a fun night at Chick-fil-A and then Toadily Fun. The four kids had a great time jumping, sliding, and playing with each other. It was a great play date for all of us.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
What a nice surprise to see snow and lots of it! It began sleeting at our house about 3:00 yesterday afternoon, the snow began to fall about 4:00, and we had about 3-4 inches on the ground by this morning. What wasn't so nice about it was we lost power around 5:15 yesterday and wasn't back on until sometime around noon today. I was so worried that our food would spoil from the fridge and freezer, so around 1:30 in the morning I got Jarrod up to help back 2 coolers full of food. We packed them down and then put ice (and some snow) on top of it to keep it cold. Luckily, we didn't lose anything. 19 hours without power stinks! But, Mason and MacKenzie loved the snow and had fun while it lasted. They got to enjoy a snow day with Daddy while he worked from home, but Mommy had to report to work as usual. Oh well...it was still a memorable event!
