Last week MacKenzie said something that totally embarrassed me. Then I started thinking about all the different times I've been embarrassed by my children (already). Although it wasn't funny at the time, we can all laugh about those moments now. And, I know that there will be MANY more embarrassing moments to come. Here are my top 3 most embarrassing moments because of my children. What are yours?
#3 - Mason understands all of his "bodily functions" now, so whenever he has gas he is sure to let EVERYONE know. (Just like a man!) It never fails that when we're in a store or a restuarant that he yells out "Mommy I pooted" or "Mommy I burped" (which is 2 syllables, pronounced "burp-ed"). While people laugh I am completely mortified by the whole thing!
#2 - (This is the embarrassing moment from last week). We had really nice weather last week. So while walking into daycare one day, I told MacKenzie that "I bet you will get to play outside today". Well, when I picked her up that afternoon, her teacher proceeded to tell me that earlier that day MacKenzie looked at her teachers with her hands on her hips and said "My mama said we BETTER go outside today!" I thought I would die!
And the #1 most embarrassing moment so far...Last year I had to go the ENT because of a severe ear infection. On the day of my appointment MacKenzie had gotten sick so she went with me. The doctor came in a started talking to me about what he needed to do, etc, etc. The entire time while he was talking MacKenzie was going through my purse looking for "stick" which is her word for lipstick or chapstick. I wasn't paying her any attention trying to concentrate on what the doctor was saying. She had started hitting me with something on the arm, saying over and over again "Mommy, stick...Mommy, stick". I finally looked down and she's hitting me with a tampon...I really wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Both the doctor and nurse had been watching the whole thing and when I finally realized what she was doing they both started dying laughing. The nurse even had to leave the room! I have no idea what else the doctor said or did...but I didn't go back for my follow-up appointment!
I hope other people have been embarrassed by their children at some point. And if they haven't yet...they will!!!

HAHAHAHAHA!! Oh, I'm sorry to laugh but that tampon thing is hilarious. You poor thing.
Just a week or so ago we were walking into WalMart, and there was a man washing the doors on the way in that had multiple large ear piercings. (I had barely noticed, honestly). Andrew starts laughing and says, "Mama, look at that silly man!" and JUST as we passed him he yells, "Mom, boys don't wear EARRINGS!"
