...and Quaker oats, and quilt, and Queen Latifa! Oh yeah, and to hear MacKenzie say "Queen Latifa" is hilarious. It's more like Queen LA-TEEEE-FA! I guess you have to hear it, but it's funny!

3-D Glasses!

We got 3D glasses for the Super Bowl halftime commercials. They were free, but it gave us hours of priceless entertainment. The kids had a blast watching the commercials. Luckily, we Tivo'd the game, and every night since then, we've had to watch the halftime commercials over and over. Each time they watch it, they laugh like it was the first!

I'm No Betty Crocker!
I decided to try a little "baking" on Sunday. I don't bake...I cook, but I don't bake! My idea of baking is either a box of brownie mix or better yet, the break and bake chocolate chip cookies! My sister made this GREAT cinnamon bread for me for Christmas. I loved it so much I got her to make me another loaf. I seriously am addicted now. I figure I couldn't ask her to make me a loaf of bread every week, so I had to do it myself. I got the recipe, went to the store and got all the ingredients. I was so excited! When I got home, I realized I didn't have a loaf pan, so I had to borrow one from my next door neighbor (I told you I don't bake)!
I followed the directions just as they were written. I measured very carefully! I made a complete and total mess...flour and sugar were everywhere! Then, I placed the bread in the oven for 50 minutes and anxiously awaited for my masterpiece. Once the buzzer went off, I poked a toothpick in the middle to make sure it was cooked all the way through, then that's when the disaster happened!
Have you ever seen Christmas vacation when they cut into the turkey and it just completely "deflates" into nothing? Well, that's what happened to my bread. As soon as I poked it with the toothpick, all this air came out...you could even hear it. So I waited until it cooled, hoping that what I thought had happened didn't happen. Later, I cut the bread in half and it was completely hollow in the middle!! How does that happen?!?!
So, my first baking experience wasn't the greatest. The bread is OK, but not as good as my sister's (hint, hint Lauren!!) HAHA! I'll try one more time to see if I can perfect it.
Here's a picture of my mess!

Toadily Fun - Part 2
So, we did end up going back to Toadily Fun on Sunday and took Mason. He wasn't too sure of it at first and his little legs weren't long enough to climb up the ladders. I finally realized that adults can play, too, so we were able to help Mason out a little better. Once we did that, he had a blast! And they took a GREAT nap afterwards!!

Toadily Fun!
Today, one of MacKenzie's classmates, Madison, celebrated her 4th birthday. She had a party at a place in Anderson called "Toadily Fun". It has indoor inflatables, bumper cars, and other games. We had never been there before and MacKenzie had a BLAST!! My dad kept Mason for us while we went to the party (Jarrod was working), so MacKenzie and I had a little girl time! What a wonderful treat...thanks Dad!
We had so much fun that I'm going to try to convince Jarrod to take both kids back tomorrow! To all my Anderson girls...we need to have a mommy day and take the kids!

"O" is for orange...
and octopus, ornament, oatmeal, and of course, Oprah! This week was harder than I thought...it's hard to find things that start with "o" in magazines!
