One of my favorite things about Christmas is seeing Christmas through a child's eyes. I think that's why children's Christmas programs are always so much fun and bring such joy to this season. Both of my children participated in two very cute Christmas programs at their schools. This year the kindergarten classes at MacKenzie's school put on a show called "Melton the Snow Man". It was very cute, and MacKenzie even had a speaking part as Prancer the Reindeer! She is usually very shy, but she did great and she is really starting to come out of her shell! Mason's program at First Baptist was great too. His class dressed up like Christmas trees and sang "Christmas Time is Here" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". MacKenzie also enjoyed a great little Christmas party at school. Mason's class went to visit Santa at the mall for one of their field trips. Here are some pictures from all the activities...

Mason's birthday
Well, December has been a very busy month, and I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with the blogs. I'm so behind, but I'll try to get in a few updates before Christmas!
We always start the month of December by celebraing Mason's birthday. He turned 4 on December 1st. This year both the kids are taking gymnastics so he wanted to have his party at the gymnastics place. We had a great time and even had a special visit by the Clemson Tiger!! Mason's favorite things this year were Iron Man, Spider Man, Toy Story, legos and the Dallas Cowboys. Here are some pictures from his birthday...

The start of the Christmas season...
I LOVE this time of year! Christmas is by far my favorite holiday...I love the hustle and bustle of everything, the decorations, and all the festivities. I feel like the "kick-off" of the Christmas season is when the hospital does it's anuual "Lights Before Christmas" event. We've been every year, but this is the first year we went that BOTH kids actually LIKED Santa. The only problem with this year was that we saw Santa at the hospital and then left to go get dinner at a restuarant in downtown. As we're sitting down to eat (another, very different looking Santa) walked into the restuarant. As I was trying to think of a very clever way to explain this to my children, Mason looks at us and says..."Look, that's the REAL Santa...the other Santa was just Santa's brother"! HAHA! Jarrod and I about died laughing, but hey, whatever works! :) Here's some pics from this year...
