...and frog, and flowers, and feet, and fox! Last night was another homework night. MacKenzie is getting much better with the scissors, and she's great with the glue now. I'm so impressed with how well she can write her letters, and she even says her "f" sounds. Oh how quick they learn and grow!

My 2 Cents Worth
Since everyone else seems to have an opinion about the recent incidents that happened with Clemson football, I'll put in my two cents!
First, I hate what happened to Tommy Bowden as a person. I think he's a good Christian man, who ran a clean football program, and did a good job getting those guys to graduate. However, he was paid to win football games, and after 10 years, he just wasn't getting the job done. I think he did a good job, but I think it was time for Clemson and Tommy to part ways. I think he was a classy guy, and he left with class.
On the other hand, I think that they players need to keep their mouths shut about the whole situation. Some of the comments made by Cullen Harper (and his dad) and even C.J. Spiller are out of line. They need to shut up and play ball...that's what they have scholarships to do. Tommy gave them a huge opportunity to come and play football at a great school, and they should respect him now more than ever.
Second, I'm excited about Dabo Swinney. I think his press conference the other day was great, and I think he'll bring some excitement to the program, that's obviously been lacking for some time. He's starting some new traditions with the "Tiger Walk" and he seems to be a motivator and a real "players coach". I think his youth and excitement make it easy for the players to connect to him and want to play harder, tougher, and maybe (hopefully) better. As much as I would like to think he'll completely turn this season around, I'm not going to be disappointed if he doesn't. He's got his hands full and I think he has uphill battle ahead him. I'm not going to be one of "those fans" that boos him or the players if he makes a bad call or he doesn't win all the games. I think the players and coaches have heard enough negativity for one season. I hope that the "true" Clemson fans will support this team 100%. I'm pulling for them to get out of the "mess" they're in. I agree with something Dabo said in his press conference, we need to be sure that these Seniors leave Clemson feeling the same way they did when they entered Clemson. They need to feel like the decision they made 4 or 5 years ago was a good one.
I love Clemson University and I love Clemson football. My opinion about Clemson football hasn't changed since the beginning of the season (see my post called "I can't wait" from August). There's something special and unique about that little place we call "Tiger Town". I get cold chills every time "Tiger Rag" is played and those guys run down the hill at Death Valley. It's exciting, refreshing, and just plain fun! I'm looking forward to this Saturday. GO TIGERS!!!

Mason's Not a Baby Anymore! :(
Well, my baby is not a baby anymore! He has decided that he's done with the crib! I guess he sees his sister in her big girl bed and he just doesn't want to be in the baby crib anymore. Mama's not quite ready for the big boy bed, though. So, after many restless nights, we decided to compromise (yes, I compromised with my 22 month old). We took the crib down, and put the mattress on the floor so he could sleep on his "mat". They sleep on mats at school, so I knew that this should work. So far, after 2 nights, he's slept great!
We've decided that he'll get a real big boy bed for his 2nd birthday. It's only 2 months away so hopefully sleeping on the floor will work for that long! It's all bittersweet...he's getting to be so big and independent. I know he's my last one so I'm trying to savour any of these little "baby" things as long as I can.

"D" is for...and "E" is for...
"D" is for dog, dinosaur, daisy, dice, and donut. "E" is for ear, eyes, egg, and elephant. I'm a little behind on the Homework Night updates. Here's what MacKenzie has done lately...

Hunter & Tiffany's wedding
This weekend we traveled to Nashville, TN for Jarrod's brother's (Hunter) wedding. Hunter and Tiffany are such a perfect couple, and we're so happy for them! We had a great time...and the kids really had a blast!

"C" is for cookie...
...and cat and car! Another homework night! I'm a little behind, so I'm trying to catch up. This time Daddy and MacKenzie did homework together, and she was so proud!
